2009-2010

Steven Hill (QDD) - 200 and 400 Freestyle
Coach - Rick Benner
Josh Friedel (RAYS) - 200 Backstroke

Steven and Josh will compete in the 2010 Mel Zajac, Jr International Meet in Vancouver, BC in May.

 

In Stockholm in November,
Steven
finished 62nd in the 50 Freestyle (23.59), 63rd in the 100 Freestyle (50.63), 48th in the 100 Butterfly (57.51), 45th in the 200 Freestyle (1:49.70), and 22nd in the 400 Freestyle (3:52.46).
 
In Berlin in November, Steven finished 56th in the 100 Individual Medley (58.61), 59th in the 100 Butterfly (56.73), 52nd in the 200 Freestyle (1:48.55), 42nd in the 200 Individual Medley (2:08.56), and 17th in the 400 Individual Medley (4:34.82).

2008-2009

Stuart was Captain of the Men's Team.
He finished 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:03.62) and 9th in the 200 Breaststroke (2:19.22)!


Four
Virginia Swimming athletes represented the USA as members of the National Youth Team.
 
Kameron Ansley (QDD), Rebecca Jones (TIDE), Rachel Naurath (NOVA), and Emily Nunn (NOVA) competed in the
2009 Mel Zajac, Jr International Meet in Vancouver, BC.

Rebecca finished 5th in the 200 Freestyle and 8th in the 50 Freestyle.
Emma finished 12th in the 400 Individual Medley, 8th in the 200 Butterfly, and 12th in the 100 Butterfly.
Rachel finished 2nd in the 1500 Freestyle, 16th in the 200 Freestyle, 16th in the 400 Freestyle, and 11th in the 400 Freestyle.
Kameron finished 16th in the 100 Butterfly and 17th in the 200 Butterfly.

Rebecca also swam on the Gold Medal-winning, Meet Record-breaking 400 Freestyle and 800 Freestyle Relays.

2007-2008

Stuart Ferguson (PSDN) - 100 Breaststroke

Todd McGraw (GATR) - 100 Butterfly

Stuart finished 5th in the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.57), 25th in the 400 Individual Medley (4:49.01), 4th in the 200 Breaststroke (2:23.55), 75th in the 50 Freestyle (25.79), 27th in the 100 Butterfly (58.25), and 2nd in the 50 Breaststroke (29.64).  He also swam the Breaststroke leg on the Gold Medal winning 400 Medley Relay (1:04.50/3:44.91)!

Todd finished 2nd in the 200 Butterfly (2:01.25), 4th in the 400 Individual Medley (4:28.32), 12th in the 100 Butterfly (57.20), and 14th in the 200 Individual Medley (2:10.09).

2006-2007

Stuart Ferguson (PSDN) - 100 Breaststroke
Coach - Ted Sallade

Stuart finished 12th in the 200 Fly, 6th in the 100 Breast, 21st in the 100 Fly, and 6th in the 200 Breast.  He also swam the breaststroke leg on the 400 Medley Relay that brought home a Bronze Medal!

2005-2006

Elizabeth Shaw (NOVA) - 200 Butterfly

David Walters (TPHN) - 200 Freestyle

 Elizabeth finished 6th in the 200 Fly, 9th in the 400 IM, 28th in the 100 Free, 18th in the 100 Fly, 10th in the 200 IM, and 10th in the 200 Breast; David finished tied for 9th in the 200 Free, 6th in the 100 Free, 3rd in the 800 Free Relay, 24th in the 400 Free, 3rd in the 400 Free Relay, and 19th in the 50 Free!
