Thursday

In the Women's 1650, Kate Ziegler (FISH) dazzled the crowd with 2 NAG records in one race (15-16 1650Y and 1000Y - just .02 off Janet Evan's long-standing American record!) winning with a 15:40.89.  In the Men's 1000, Christian Sprang (GCIT) ran away from the field with a 6-second margin and a World Champs Trials (WCT) cut.

Friday

In the 200 Freestyles, Kate Zeigler (FISH) won the Women's race with a WCT QT and Matt McLean (SNOW) won the Men's race with a USA Swimming Juniors (JRs) cut.  In the 100 Breaststrokes, Sam Gelb (RAC) picked up the Women's win and Mark Liscinsky (CUBU) made his WCT QT in his win.  Sara Smith (VAST) and Chris Brady (TD) added championships to their collection in the 100 Butterflys, Chris with a WCT cut.  In the 400 Individual Medleys, Sam Gelb (RAC) and Christian Sprang (GCIT) wracked up their second wins of the meet.  In the evening 800 Freestyle Relays, GCIT, RAC, and FISH Women made their JRs cut, FISH coming out on top, and the ODAC and WAC Men made their JRs cut, WAC prevailing.

Saturday

In the 200 Medley Relays, AAC Women and ODAC Men (in a n exciting come-from-behind effort) were winners.  Mallo Dietrich (GPAC) (with a JRs cut) and Kevin Fischer (CUBU) (with a WCT cut) won their respective 200 Butterfly races.  In the first of the sprint Freestyles, Sarah Smith (VAST) and Preston Mihalko (ODAC) established themselves as the fastest at the meet, both achieving JRs QTs in the 50.  In the 200 Breaststrokes, Mallo Dietrich (GPAC) and Ethan Basset (CUBU) knocked out WCT cuts in their wins.  Sam Gelb (RAC) and Trey Ruefle (CBAC) also got their WCT and JRs cuts, respectively.  In the 100 Backstrokes, Genny Syzmanski (GPAC) and Mark Liscinsky (CUBU) took home a gold medal (Mark's second of the meet).  Kate Ziegler (FISH) and Christian Sprang (GCIT) repeated their Thursday evening performances, this time in the 500 Freestyles.  Kate dominated the Women with a WCT cut (just off the American Record) and Christian got his Jr's QT.  In the 400 Freestyle Relays, the GPAC, MAKO, RAC, FISH and AAC M\Women got JRs cuts, AAC winning, and the GCIT and ODAC Men got their JRs QT, ODAC winning, again.

Sunday

In the 200 Freestyle Relays, AAC Women and ODAC Men (their 3rd) picked up wins.  Kate Ziegler (FISH) had another great swim in winning the 1000 Freestyle (in a WCT QT, as did Chloe Sutton (UNAT)).  Alex Anderson (FISH) out-battled Christian Sprang (GCIT) for the distance championship (1650) ... Alex achieved a WCT cut, Christian got his JRs cut.  In the 200 Backstrokes, Genny Syzmanski (GPAC) (her second) and Kevin Fischer (CUBU) reeled in gold with their wins, both with JRs QTs.  Sara Smith (VAST) again topped the Women's sprint Freestyle (this time in the 100) and Matt McLean (SNOW) edged out Preston Mihalko (ODAC) in the Men's race, all with JRs cuts.  In the 200 IMs, Sarah Smith (VAST) and Mark Liscinsky (CUBU) made it a trifecta, both winning with a WCT time.  In the 400 Medley Relays, GCIT and RAC Women got JRs cuts, RAC running away, and in a come-from-behind win TD Men got their JRs cut (as did ODAC, MACHINE, and GCIT).
